Asia’s premier publication; Top 10, has ranked Sri
Lanka first for the category of Asia’s Best Nation for Wildlife Tourism.
Thus, bestowing the opportunity for the country to seize its first award for
the year 2020 at Top Asia Corporate Ball 2019, held in Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia. Sri Lanka was placed in first place for the category of ‘’Asia’s Best
Nation for Wildlife Tourism’’ from a survey piloted on Asian countries and of the 5 short listed
countries, chosen by Top 10 Asia’s premier publications.
The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Malaysia, Mr.
Kapila Jayampathy, accepted this special honour amidst an audience of
distinguished guests, together with the participation of leading Malaysian
CEO’s and personalities from 20 Asian countries. The aforementioned event
was organized by RHS Media, which is the publisher for the premier business,

Over the
millennia, Sri Lanka has been referred to by countless evocative names including
Ceylon, and more recently the Island nation has been known as a Tiny Marvel, a
Land like No Other. The country has been rewarded with the title of the world’s
Best Safari Destination outside of Africa, where the lure of the Big Five is
both beguiling and mesmerising. For a compact island nation, Sri Lanka owns a
range of truly stunning wildlife, which would enthuse and delight any who
appreciates the wild side of life.
Sri Lanka is also home
to her own ‘Big Five’, namely the Asian Elephant, the Sri
Lankan subspecies of Leopard, Sloth Bear, The Sperm
Whale (the biggest toothed whale species
in the world) & the Blue Whale, the largest animal of all in the
surrounding ocean. Nature is a haven
for all and we wish to position ourselves as the sole ambassadors of protecting
and conserving these extraordinary creatures for posterity. A world where flora
and fauna will be accessible to all, on their habitats, permitted to wander
free, unimpeded by pressures triggered by man.
Allow Jetwing to
guide you on an expedition to discovering a new perspective of just how unique
and special these animals truly are. Witness, relish & rejoice in the
preservation of some of the planet’s most incredible creatures.
