Electronic pre-booking service launched

The Department of Wildlife conservation has brought about a new strategic implementation plan to simultaneously reduce the number of visitors to the Yala National park and increase the quality of services offered. This implementation is mainly driven by the electronic pre-booking service tourists can use to pre-book their permits which are aimed to reduce the waiting lines for permits. This is aimed at ensuring that visitors who travel from a faraway place are not denied entrance into the National Park. The Department also aims at closing blocks of the park to allow the ecosystems to recover and revive breeding patterns.
